The ad that the US believes to be racist has been taken out of context.
Anyone who has been to the West Indies they can tell you that Fried Chicken is like a HUGE thing over there, not a racial stereotype.
How about you guys stop bitching about what is happening in Australia and start looking at yourselves.
The constant shootings you would think prompt some sort of strengthening of gun laws BUT NO, if anything more guns flood on to the streets.

So just a tip; instead of complaining about ads THAT AREN'T EVEN SHOWN IN YOUR COUNTRY and start dealing with your own social problems

are Australians racist?

From the outside looking in Australia has had a dubious past with race and racial issues, begining with the treatment of Indigenous persons when The First Fleet arrived through until the 1970's when the white Australia policy was abolished to wednesday nights episode of Hey Hey it's Saturday where people blacked out their faces and act like the Jackson Five.
Let's face it, all countries have some form of racial bias no matter how hard they try to hide, Australia has always been bad at hiding it.
There's just a difference in how it has been handled.
A lot of people ignore it, others will be outraged and some will try to use the episode as tool to teach people not to be so inconsiderate of others.

There is good and bad in all societies
Please don't lump all of us together for what a select few people are doing

Sol Trujillo, the CEO of Telstra for another month has left Australia already back into the safe loving arms of the Americans.
Supposedly Australians are racist, from Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, down to the lowliest bogan.

Trujillo has been the CEO of Telstra for a few years and has ran into the ground, service in regional areas has suffered whilst prices have gone up, yet he's walked away with 30 million dollars. When he announced his departure from the job, Kevin Rudd was quoted as saying "adios" (spanish for goodbye) Sol being of Mexican decent has seen this as a racial slur and in a recent BBC radio interview called the whole country "backward"
