trying to be kawaii for AI Con next weekend

so next weekend is the state's anime convention.
and in an effort to be more adventurous and outgoing I'm entering the Fruits Fashion beginners contest.
I know I will fail epically, but hey! You don't know if you don't try and I'm sure it's going to be fun anyway.
I've got most of my outfit together but I have to make some sleeves.
I'm not good at sewing so this should be interesting to say the least.

Update on Housemate? Election signs

I got a new housemate!
but it's a girl! so it's all good!
*stress disappears*

and in another note this year there's a huge amount of elections coming up in Australia and other places.

I don't want live with a guy I don't know!

So I live in a apartment which is owned by the student union. When they asked me if I had any preferences for who I wish to share with I said females only.
I have my reasons.
I don't want to share them.
Today I get a phone call asking if I was comfortable living with a guy and I said no.
They said if he wants to live there that they can't stop him from signing the lease.
WTF?!?
how is that fair?
I know that there's heaps of empty rooms with the union atm because their prices are too high and majority of students have preplanned to get a private rental with friends.

So what can I do now?
I guess I have to wait til sunday when I get home to find out if I have to share with a guy ._.
